Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from?
Danish data comes from the CVR register maintained by Erhvervsstyrelsen, via official system-to-system access. Norwegian data comes from Brønnøysundregistrene, which publishes Enhetsregisteret as open data under NLOD.
How fresh is the data?
We sync continuously with the registries. Norwegian data files refresh every 24 hours at the source; Danish changes are pulled incrementally.
How do you handle advertising protection?
Danish companies carry an advertising-protection flag from Erhvervsstyrelsen, and it is always present in the response. Norway does not publish an equivalent in Enhetsregisteret — their opt-out lives in a separate reservation register we do not consume. Norwegian companies are therefore returned as unknown (ad_protected: true, ad_protection_known: false), never as safe to contact. Checking the Norwegian reservation register is your responsibility.
Does this include personal data?
The registries contain the names of owners and board members. That information is public under company law, but it is still personal data, and you remain the data controller for your own use of it.
What happens if I exceed my limit?
You get an HTTP 429 with a clear error code. We never charge for usage beyond your plan unless you upgrade yourself.
